R-DAT's data collection features allow users
to create and store data sets for use in any of R-DAT's data analysis modules.
Data sets are organized in the form of tables. The structure of the tables
can be freely defined: any number of fields can be used to store the information
consisting of the data necessary for the analysis itself, as well as accompanying
information such as data record identifiers, dates, and comments. New
data sets can be created from scratch, or can quickly be set up based
on user-defined templates.
The contents of the data sets can be entered using the data set editor,
but may also be imported from text and Microsoft Excel files, as well
as pasted from the Windows clipboard.
